I would have given this fabulous boot five stars had it not been for the fact that the calf was SO small, and the laces are a total nightmare to work with. I have a pair of The North Face Thermoball boots which also lace all the way with no zipper, I could put them on, take them off and put them on again a dozen times while I’m fighting these boots. But. As nice as the Uggs feel, as warm and comfortable, (more than The NorthFace which are not that comfortable) that lace up thing could have been something I would have easily lived with but not those super small calves. When they’re laced up and tied, I’m out of string. They simply look like a pair of boots that are too small. This is barefoot and with a pair of socks. My goodness, don’t you sometimes wear pants in these boots too? How? I can’t imagine even a thin pair of leggings going in these boots and for goodness sakes they’re winter boots, maybe I’ll wear a heavy pair of pants with SNOW boots? When I put that much money in a pair of boots they simply have to fit all around. The only way I could justify them looking good was to wear them laced up loosely and untied (pic). However, with the tongue separate from the boot that won’t work for COLD temps. When laced and tied it made my calf look humongous and it’s really not. (more pics) I so much wish Ugg would make this in a wider size, it’s truly a great boot except for the fact you have to have skinnyminny legs to wear them. I’m a fit 5’4 and weigh from 135 140 my calves are normal looking and not that large.
These boots are AWESOME! It’s so nice to have the warmth of Uggs in a boot you can actually get wet and dirty and not have to worry about them.
Order a size up, because they run small. I usually wear a 7 in Uggs, but got an 8 for the right fit. The boots are only hard to get on and off the first few times you wear them. After they’re broken in they go right on with ease and the lacing also goes quickly. I usually just unlace them loosely and they come right off and they go back on easily. You can also fold up the flap if you want to wear your pants over them. I would suggest slimmer in the leg jeans if you want to tuck in. All of that glorius sheepskin takes up a lot of space.
The boots are extremely comfortable, like you would expect from Uggs, and the grip is very secure on ice. They are not as lightweight as regular Uggs, but they are not clunky either.
I love them and recommend them for anyone who wants Uggs that they can actually wear out in the weather without worry.
Amazing!!! these are so warm perfect for what i was looking for. I live in NY and the winters and snow are pretty harsh, i wanted something that was gonna keep my feet nice and warm while shoveling snow and in the freezing weather. These are perfect, they have the fur all around the inside of the boot and they come up pretty high which will be great in preventing snow and water from seeping in. They do run quite small i would say, i wear a size 7 in all my shoes, usually winter boots i get in a 7.5 for the extra room for thick socks. I own a pair of hunter rain boots in a size 7 and the tell chestnut Uggs in a size 7 also. I had gotten these in a 7.5 and the were way too snug for my liking, i returned and found them on Amazon for less than the other store, and i got the size 8, and i like the fit of the 8 over the 7.5 because it leaves me room for my feet to be comfortable. I’m thinking the fur of the inside of the boot is what makes them feel more snug than other boots.
I carefully reviewed the other comments about size and went with 1/2 size larger. I am a 71/2 M and went with 8 M and its a perfect fit. I wanted a warm waterproof boot for walking my 65 pound dog 2 3 miles around a lake in the winter in Massachusetts and Maine. I wanted a flat sole so I can put ice clips on the bottom if necessary. I haven’t yet tested wearing the boots in such weather but I know they will be fine. I researched competitors and decided that these were exactly what I wanted. The quality is equal to the price. I have bought Uggs as Christmas presents for my granddaughter for the last three years. Now it’s my turn.
The warmest and softest boots I have ever owned. I ordered size up, half size up would fit better as I don’t really need thick socks as much.
I wear the for horse riding and stall cleaning, sanding wood in not heated shed or even outside sanding. They get filthy, dusty, wet and muddy
and I dust / wipe them off and I am ready to wear them again. Not a scratch on them so far. I love these boots.
Update a year later. Abuse of these boots continues as described above a year ago. Still not ruined, still looking great. I washed the outside
to rinse off the barn mud, dried them by the fireplace still nothing. Vibram soles do not show absolutely no wear and tear.
